Norwegian startup beautiful Fresco XL shows the eight-seater 1,000-km / 620-mile EV

The company’s new vehicle is not a sedan, but a large crossover / people carrier called the XL.

We first heard about the Norwegian EV istartup Fresco named by futurist and social engineer Jacque Fresco when it debuted the design of a new electric sedan called Fresco Reverie in 2019. And the last time we heard about Fresco was until the company teased the new design for a different EV with a projected range of 1,000 km or about 620 miles on a single charge.

Called Fresco XL, it is a people carrier / crossover model vehicle that can carry up to 8 people and their battery pack is a structural component. And despite being shown in a video showing the 3D model, not a real vehicle, Fresco is already taking orders for the XL – each pre-order requires a deposit of € 1,000 and the estimated final cost of the vehicle is € 100,000 (approximately $ 112,860)

We are not told how large the battery can provide up to 1,000km, but the company says the vehicle is capable of loading (V2L) and the cells in the pack are double-stacked for maximum storage capacity. The vehicle has two motors, one for each axle, and is designed with harsh weather such as Norway inland parts have cold winters with plenty of snow, and hot and relatively dry summers, especially in the eastern parts of the country in mind.
