The AM1 is one of the first electric bikes made in France and is AFNOR accredited, one of the hardest in the industry. It represents the Association Franเฒเฒพois de Normalisation, and at least 50 percent of its production must take place in France to gain this recognition.
Approximately 70 percent of all electric scooter units are produced in France. With the establishment of more production lines, this percentage is expected to increase in the future. AM1 is L1e certified which means it is classified under the Moped category.

Electric scooter price
The scooter weighs 92kg, which is very fast for a battery-powered two-wheeler and has a total carrying capacity of 260kg. The AM1 is offered in two iterations – single-seater and double-seater. The first is most likely to be used by last-mile services.
The Mob-ion AM1 costs 3,582 euros (equivalent to INR 3.04 lakh), which is more expensive than most electric scooters sold in India. French EV Startup is also offering an electric scooter at a monthly subscription fee of 99 euros. At this price point it is fairly obvious that it is unlikely to reach Indian shores at any time in the next few days.
