The Reason Why Everyone Love Verla Pegasus Electric Scooter Analysis.

Verla Pegasus Electric Scooter Analysis, Dual 500W Motors, Speed โ€‹โ€‹45 km / h,….

When I hear the name ‘Pegasus’ I remember the horse in Greek mythology, yes Pegasus is the mythical winged divine horse, and one of the most recognized beings in Greek mythology.

He is usually depicted as pure white.  Myths about him change as Greek myths evolve and reflect progress through successive deities.

The name ‘Varla’ reminds me of British actor and singer Zubin Varla and American actor, singer Verla Jean Marman.

But now that I’m talking about “Verla Pegasus *, when I look at the electric scooter market recently, it seems like most of the entries fall to one end of the spectrum or the other.

Either it is a Slopek City scooter or a death-defying hotrod that flows with highway speed.

But the Verla Pegasus seems to be nestled in the perfect middle ground, delivering a comfortable suspension without exceeding average speeds and pushing performance into the extreme area.

This is a scooter that is totally worth seeing in action.  My detailed write up on my experience testing this well-equipped electric scooter.

Mounting on a fast electric scooter

If you’re using a scooter-share model like the Lime or Bird scooter, or maybe trying your hand at a consumer model like Xiaomi or Ninebot, then the Verla Pegasus feels like an upgrade.

The 28 mph (45 km / h) speeds are twice as high as other base-level electric scooters.

Each peak dual 500W motors at 800W power helps the scooter reach that speed, though to be fair I found that the full top of the scooter’s battery charge level is only 28 mph.  Once the charge is low, you wander close to 25 mph (40 km / h).  However, this is a great speed for a fun ride without feeling you have to fit in motorcycle protective gear.

This does not mean you should take safety lightly.  More protective clothing is still better than a helmet, covered shoes and bathing suit.  But this is not a 50 mph (80 km / h) scooter that makes me say a short prayer whenever I hop on it.  It’s a confident-stirring scooter that packs a lot of speed and power for a fun ride, yet it doesn’t push the blanket too much.

And most importantly for any speed scooter, the Verla Pegasus has a full-suspension to ensure that each wheel delivers a smooth ride.  Hitting a decent bump at 28 mph can buck you up with a strict scooter if you’re not careful.  But with Pegasus, I was inadvertently increasing the speed bumps.

The scooter feels nicely aligned and I have never complained about the abuse it has done, jumping off the curbs and ramping up anything with an angle I can find.

I like how the three different power steps make it easy to digitize a scooter when you need it.  When I’m riding high on Stage 3 for full power and speed, when you want to let your friend try out your scooter, it’s easy to drop it to Stage 1 or 2 but it prevents pancake into the wall.  Low power levels help conserve the battery, which is good when you’re running low.

In wet conditions, dropping power can help reduce your chances of spinning your wheel at the start, though it is usually a good idea not to scoot in the rain anyway.

Wide, solid tires provide good grip on both the paved and off-road surfaces.  Some people don’t like solid tires because they don’t give much cushion to the ride, but with such suspension I never thought it was a problem.  And the advantage of never getting a flat tire outweigh the disadvantages here.

In my opinion, the Verla Pegasus is better than the weak passenger scooters in every area.  Well, except maybe one: weight.  The 66-pound (30kg) scooter is a beast when you need to carry it.

The folding mechanism is solid and the hook to fold it is nice and sturdy, but you’re still lugging around some serious dead weight.

If you have to go up several stairs every day, hopefully you’re hitting the gym.  At this weight, the scooter can be carried but only barely.

More than 70 lb usually I draw a line about anything I want to pick up and carry every day.

Another area I want to improve on is a little more take-off power.  500W motors will speed you up, but you won’t get the “seat of your pants” feel that some more powerful scooters give you.  For new riders though, I think this is probably the best.

But since the Verla Pegasus is one of the “in-between” scooters, it is always defeated by smaller scooters in portability and larger scooters in power.  As it stands, the Pegasus offers a nice, comfortable balance between the two, with great power and speed on the scooter, which is still manageable and accessible to leisure riders.

At a selling price of $ 1,199, it also received a “between” price.  I’ve seen plenty of scooters that cost more but don’t offer much power, range or suspension, which I would say is a fair price.

ย ย The Verla Pegasus is one of the rare electric scooters that offers a good balance between high-performance and reasonable prices.ย  And after spending a couple of weeks testing the scooter to date, I can confirm that it has the right combination of performance and value to suit a wide range of riders, which is really the Verla Pegasus.

See it for yourself and experience a remarkable ride like never before.

  Guys, what do you think?
