ย Auto Desk: Coimbatore-based high-tech EV brand Boom Motors has recently received 36,000 bookings.ย The bikes will reach the dealership by January 2022, the company said.ย Battery pack, Corbett, has been widely admired by EV enthusiasts around the country.ย In addition, Boom Motors is leading the sale of their vehicles through over 60 dealerships across the country.ย It plans to increase it to 250 dealers by the end of 2022.
“The company aims to exceed one lakh vehicles sales in the next one year by expanding its manufacturing plant in Coimbatore,” a spokesman for Boom Motors said in a statement. Currently, it has the capacity to produce 1 lakh bikes per year.
Turnover of over Rs 400 crore
With the success of Corbett, the company has traded in excess of Rs 400 crore. This is a big milestone for EV Startup. Corbett in two variants!
The Corbett is a durable bike and comes in two variants, the Corbett 14 and 14-X (EX). The bike is equipped with a 2.3 kWh battery which can be increased to 4.6 kWh if desired. It can move up to 200 kilometers on a single charge.
It comes with a replaceable battery and portable charger that can be plugged into any home socket and fully charged in about 2.5 to 4 hours. But the 14-EX can reach 75 km per hour. The bike can handle a maximum weight of 200kg and is effortless even on steep slopes.

In addition, this bike can offer no accident, theft alert and comes with some intelligent features such as Parent mode. The Corbett 14 starts at Rs 86,999 and the 14-X starts at Rs 1,19,999.
