As its flight testing program progresses rapidly, the company is embarking on the administrative side of things, detailing Vertiports’ vision for multi-storey carparks and moving its US certification efforts to a second pre-production expos.  eVTOL Model.  Earlier this month, South Korea partnered with local telecommunications company SKT to introduce air taxi service.

Announced today, the new partnership with Airline Ana involves the use of its five-seat all-electric aircraft for aerial travel around Japan.  This air taxi has a top speed of 200 mph (321 km / h) and a maximum range of 150 miles (241 km), exemplified by the 31-mile (50-km) journey from Osaka Station to Kansai International Airport.  The type of route it can serve.

It currently takes 55 minutes in the car, but Joby’s Flying Taxi will complete the journey in 14 minutes, according to the pair.  Ana and Joby work together on pilot training, infrastructure, air traffic management and control requirements.  Toyota, Jabi’s largest investor and has worked with Startup since 2019, is investigating how ground transportation can be integrated into the service.

“Joby exists to help people save time while reducing their carbon footprint,” said Joben Bevirt, founder and CEO of Job.  “Japan provides us with an amazing opportunity to live in urban areas and with 92 percent of the population registered in Tokyo.
