Cannondale’s Moterra Neo Electric Mountain Bike gets more power and Geometry Updates.
Cannondale has delivered the latest Bosch Smart System with its new 2022 Moterra Neo Electric Mountain Bike range, with a substantial 750Wh battery and torque, geometry upgrades from Bosch’s Performance Line CX motor to 85Nm.

The new Moterra Neo is available on three platforms, each separated by their frame material and travel: Motera Neo Alloy, Motera Neo Carbon and Motera Neo Carbon LT (Long Travel).

The 2022 Moterra Neo Carbon and Alloy models move with 150mm suspension travel on each end, while the LT gets mullet bike treatment, a 29er front wheel and 27.5in rear wheel, and 170mm front travel and a solid rise rear up to 165mm.
The LT’s rear suspension also gets a full-center spec, which has been upgraded to a piggy-back coil shock.
All Modera Neo models have weather-resistant batteries, are simple to remove when needed, and use flip-open charging ports.

The whole family benefits from cables that hide the cockpit area inside the trunk before it goes into the frame, giving it a very clean look.
The Bosch Smart System uses a buttonless LED display unit, centrally mounted on the bars and operated by a remote ready for your left thumb.
Customization of the system is available through the Bosch eBike Flow app.
The big days

All the latest versions of Moterra Neo see an increase in battery size, with the PowerTube 750 Bosch being the largest single battery currently offered.
Selected models come with a 1,000-watt Lezyne headlight. Cannondale
Cannondale has not provided any range estimates but, as usual, it varies significantly depending on where and how you ride.
Top-spec Carbon and Carbon LT models get the 1,000-lumen Legion headlight, adding to the bike’s ability to take all-day adventures.
Geometry Updates
In the fresh geometry package, the bikes get a 65-degree head angle and a 77-degree seat angle to improve stability and pedaling efficiency, according to Cannondale.
XL sizes are offered in smaller sizes in each model. All smaller sized bikes get 27.5in rear wheels as standard, which helps the rider fit.
Cannondale’s ratio response philosophy is that each size is suspended to optimize the geometry, chainstay length and center of gravity of the rider.
Cannondale says that each frame size will benefit from different links and mounting points to fine-tune leverage ratios and kinetic to the intended rider. The length of the dropper post varies with the frame size.

The Moterra Neo lineup includes six bikes: two with an aluminum frame and four with a carbon frame (two of which are in long-haul configuration).
Each platform has a top-spec LT model bar, two color options. The top-flight LT model has a single paintjob.
