Ride1Up launches 28 MPH Cafe Cruiser dual-rider electric bike- Review.

Ride1Up the Cafe Cruiser Electric Bike Overview

Ironically, the name of the California-based electric bike maker Ride 1Up is now against its new model, Cafe Cruiser.  Two-up riding is usually talked about to carry a motorcycle past passengers.  And that’s what Cafe Cruiser does in addition to combining some sexy styling with a comfortable cruiser-inspired ride.  And to top it all off, the bike has some great performance.

This is Ride1Up’s first cruiser-ish electric bike, as the company has previously focused on purpose-built passenger e-bikes.

Affordable and Elegant Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser Electric Bike

The new model is not a full-fledged stereotypical California cruiser because it operates several passenger-friendly components such as the front suspension, fenders, rear rack, hydraulic disc brakes, built-in LED lighting and the ability to carry your friend along.  Behind you.

But it still has a comfortable seating position and cruiser bike’s swept-back bars, not to mention the motorcycle-inspired top tank frame design to add a neat little accent to the bike’s top tube.

As a mashup among a cushty cruiser and a feature-packed commuter electric powered bike, Cafe Cruiser lives as much as its call and gives a few critically excellent performance.

Travel is fashionable.

The beauty of the Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser is that it rides like a comfortable cruiser bike, but gives the performance of a fast and sportier-feeling electric bike.  And as a rider, you have the ability to choose how you want to ride it every day based on your requirement.

Crank it up at most pedal assist levels and hit 28 mph (45 km / h), or return smoothly on the throttle at 20 mph (32 km / h) and travel smoothly.

Or, drop it to the lowest pedal assist steps and get an easy workout by accidentally pedalling along the boardwalk or beach path.  This is very possible thanks to its high performance mixed with the layered-back cruiser design.

The pedal forward layout and the wide saddle give you a comfortable and comfortable geometry, especially the swept back handlebars that allow you to grip properly and allow you to be better and more comfortable on the saddle rather than leaning forward.

The hydraulic front suspension fork and large 26 โ€ณ x 3 ” balloon tires facilitate the ride from boardwalks to nature trails.  Those tires are more street-optimised, which means I haven’t made good progress when trying to ride the Florida Sugar Sand Fluffy, but more packed sand is possible.

However, the “cafe” part of the Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser prevents you from becoming a more dedicated sand bike and if the sand is your thing, you want to choose a real fat tire bike.  But in this respect you will definitely be the king of the bike path – Without a doubt.

CAFE CRUISER PASSENGER KIT

With 750W of power (a true 750W, not just a max-rated 750W), it makes the bike quite sporty.  Not only do you get a top speed of 28 mph, but you get there very quickly.  And you’ve got the confidence of punch hydraulic disc brakes to get you to a quick stop.

I have to give props on lights to the company.  While many companies are still holding or discarding lights as an optional tool, the Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser features a powerful and high quality 80 lux front headlight and highly visible rear tail light.  These are not dinky, cheap lights.  They look and feel as tight as they have been designed to last for years (or Ride1Up they don’t want to be broken and then deal with warranty claims).  The tail light is protected by a frame-integrated rear rack, which means it won’t get stuck in the barriers around your garage or bike rack, making it vulnerable to knocking loose or wiring.

Speaking of past rock, the โ€œlast but not leastโ€ feature I want to talk about is the biggest feature.  Not only is the rack super sturdy as it is built on the frame (it helps achieve a massive 130 lbs or 59 kg weight rating on the rack), but it is also the perfect mount point for a passenger package.

This amazing accessory of the Ride Up adds a rear bench seat to the rack, as well as folded-out foot pegs and a clear t-shirt skirt so passengers do not absorb their pants legs or skirt to the rear wheel.

Many companies have now started offering rear bench seats as part of passenger packages, but the Ride 1 Up is one of the best I’ve seen so far for one simple reason: it has a quick release to remove.  You see, with the other passenger packages I’ve tried on competitors’ e-bikes, you have to bolt the bench seat into the rack.  This means that if you want to access the rack again, for example to strap some goods or add a milk crate for temporary storage, you have to spend several minutes unbolting the bench seat.

But the Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser’s rear seat has a spring-loaded quick release that allows you to pop on and pull it back in two seconds with no tools other than your fingers.  It’s rock-solidly attached, but still easy to remove!  We enjoy it!

And the final kicker price, just $ 1,595!  I have no idea how Ride1Up contradicted prices recently when several US-based electric bicycle companies were raising prices, but as a child reminding teachers I am afraid to listen and ruin the good.  She forgot to delegate homework.

The Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser started at $ 1,595 when it started pre-ordering late last year, and here we are four months later in the inflation-riddle economy, where the only thing that matters is the price of Arizona Ice Tea and Ride1Up’s bikes.

Other companies sell you less e-bike for more money.  In addition to what you’re getting on this electric bike and what you’re paying for, it’s some great value if I’ve ever seen it.
