The launch of the Born Electric Vision SUVs under the XUV and BE brands will provide customers with a choice between two distinct products, each with its own unique features and capabilities.  This helps the company reach a wider range of customers and is likely to increase sales and market share.

ย ย Mahindra has introduced five electric SUVs, which will be sold under two new electric brands: XUV and BE.ย  The XUV brand will feature the Mahindra Twin Peaks logo and offer both ICE and EV versions of the vehicle, offering customers a choice between conventional gasoline-powered vehicles and electric vehicles.

ย ย On the other hand, the BE brand is a separate entity that is exclusively dedicated to electric vehicles.ย  The brand aims to attract new customers to the Mahindra family and is expected to play a significant role in promoting the adoption of electric mobility in India.

The XUV brand will initially offer two electric SUVs: the XUV.e8, which has already been shown in detail.  The company has emphasised on the advanced technology and improved performance of these vehicles and said that they will be made available for sale in the near future.

The XUV.e8 is the first of five SUVs under the new Born Electric vision and is an electrified version of the XUV700.  The launch of this SUV is expected to take place in December 2024 and it is said to have dimensions of 4740 x 1900 x 1760 mm and a wheelbase of 2762 mm.

The XUV.e8 is equipped with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system which is reported to provide improved performance and better handling in different driving conditions.  This system is expected to enhance the overall driving experience and make the XUV.e8 a more attractive option for customers.

The XUV.e9 is designed to resemble an SUV coupe and is expected to feature a panoramic sunroof that adds to its aesthetic appeal.  It is positioned as a rival to vehicles like the Toyota Fortuner and is expected to be bigger and wider than the XUV.e8.

The BE.05 is the first in the BE range of SUVs and is expected to be positioned as a sports electric vehicle.  With its dimensions of 4370 x 1900 x 1635 mm, it is likely to sit between popular vehicles like the Creta and Seltos, and above-the-line vehicles like the Tucson and Compass.  The expected release date for BE.05 is October 2025.

The BE lineup is Mahindra’s all-electric sub-brand and the BE.05 is the first vehicle under this brand.  The BE.05 is expected to feature advanced technology, innovative design and improved performance, making it an attractive option for customers.

The BE.07 is the next vehicle in the BE range of electric SUVs from Mahindra.  It is expected to be a family-friendly SUV with dimensions of 4565 x 1900 x 1660 mm, rivalling the likes of Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan.  The expected release date for BE.07 is October 2026.
